HOSTEL LIFESTYLE AND POLICIES
# Typical Day
Our Hostel starts its day from 4am when the cooking starts and the Dining hall opens at 6:30am when the Milk is served.
Students/Working women can leave by 5:30am. The closing of the gates will be 8pm for the Students and 10pm for the Working women. No Nightshift inmates are allowed.
At 7:30am or 9am, prayer will be done by any one of the staff members. Inmates worship before leaving for work/college. In the evening, prayers will be attended by the staff and Inmates in the Prayer Hall. Only after the prayers, dinner will be served till 10pm.
# Celebrations & Festivals
Our Special Celebrations start from January 1st of every year. Its Kalpatharu Day or New Year. Followed by Makara Sankranti, Republic Day and our Hostel Day.
Hostel Day is our Annual Day. Mathajis from Sri Sharada Mutt are invited as guests. Bhajans are sung by ladies from Sri Sharada Seva Ashram.
Other Festivals celebrated are Mahashivarathri, Chandramana Ugaadi, SriRamanavami, Mahaveer Jayanthi/Basava Jayanthi, Varamahalakshmi, Janmashtami, Gowri-Ganesha, Navarathri- Dasara, Gandhi Jayanthi, Deepavali, Christmas.
On Monday and Thursday at 5pm, there will be Pravachans and Bhajans in our Prayer Hall. On Wednesdays, only Pravachans.
# Kitchen and Menu
The Kitchen is situated in the Annapurna block. It opens by 4am in the morning by our cook to prepare breakfast and lunch. It closes by 10pm after dinner.
Morning by 6:30 am milk will be served, followed by breakfast and lunch by 7:30am. Evening by 7:30pm Dinner will be ready. Dinner is served after the prayer at 7pm daily.
# Locality & Landmark:
- • Our locality is one of the best places in Bengaluru, which is very convenient to reach all areas. It has a good connectivity to Jayanagar, Banashankari, K R Market, Majestic. Prestigious educational institutions like BIT College, National College, BMS College, Surana College, Jain College are also close by. Hospitals like KIMS, Shekhar Hospital, Ranga Dorai Hospital are also near.
- • Our Hostel is in close proximity to Dodda Ganesha Temple, Bull Temple, GaviGangadhara Temple. Sri Ramakrishna Mutt is just a stone-throw away.
- • Lalbagh, Cubbon park, KrishnaRao park and many more parks are near by.
- • Landmark will be Near Ramakrishna Matth or SLV Corner or Brigade Apartments or Meenakshi Apartments.
# Terms & Conditions
Admission Rules (For Students Only)
- • The students are granted admission only for the specific course duration.
Example: If the students have taken admission for the PUC course , then they can stay for only 2 years in the hostel. - • * Incase of any extension required, a written application has to be given to Hostel management and it is the discretion of the management to extend or reject the application.
- • It will be purely considered on a case to case basis. Management decision will be final.
