Typical Day at the Hostel
Life at Sharada Kuteera begins early. The kitchen opens by 4:00 AM, and milk is served from 6:30 AM in the dining hall. Students and working women can leave by 5:30 AM. The hostel gates close at 8:00 PM for students and 10:00 PM for working women. Note: Night-shift inmates are not permitted.
Morning prayers are conducted at 7:30 AM or 9:00 AM by staff, with inmates offering worship before leaving for college or work. Evening prayers take place in the Prayer Hall, attended by both staff and inmates. Dinner is served after evening prayer, and the kitchen closes by 10:00 PM.
Terms & Conditions
Admission Rules (Students Only):
- Admission is granted only for the duration of the course (e.g., 2 years for PUC).
- Extensions must be requested in writing and are subject to management approval on a case-by-case basis.
- Management’s decision on extensions is final and binding.
ROOMS
There are 4 sharing, 6 sharing, 3 sharing and 2 Sharing rooms with attached baths and toilets.
KITCHEN & MENU
The Kitchen is a huge one with all the modern amenities which can cater to around 50 people.
GUESTS
Visitors should be informed to the Warden well in advance. All the inmates should come to the living room to visit their your guest.

Sharada Kuteera is more than just a hostel
- In the Ground floor, there’s a inmate’s room and an Office room with a rest room.
- A Kitchen and a Dining hall with a seating capacity of 50 at a time. All inmates have their food in the Dining area only.
- The 1st floor has 7 Single rooms with attached bathrooms. Rooms are fully furnished. There’s one
- Double room with attached bathroom too.
- The 2nd floor also has 7 Single fully furnished rooms with attached bathrooms. There’s one Double furnished room with attached bathroom in the same floor.
- Bathrooms and Toilets are cleaned daily by the Housekeepers.
Maids are available for washing clothes.
We have 3 blocks, namely, Student Block, Working Women’s Block named as Niveditha Block and Annapurna Block.
The Ground floor has 8 Single accommodations for our Members and Senior Citizens.
The 1st floor has accommodation for 24 students. 8 rooms with 3 students each.
The 2nd floor is the same as in 1st floor, 8 rooms with 3 Students each.
Each floor has 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets.
- The Ground floor has 4 rooms of 2 sharing with open shelves. 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets.
- A Dormitory with accommodation for 10
- Students/Trainees/Working women is also in the ground floor.
- The 1st floor has totally 9 rooms. 4 rooms of 2 sharing, 4 rooms of 3 sharing and a Dormitory of 6 sharing.
- 3 Bathrooms and 3 Toilets.
- Handwash separate.
- The 2nd floor has 9 rooms too. 4 rooms of 2 sharing, 4 rooms of 3 sharing and a Dormitory of 6 sharing. 3 Bathrooms and 3 Toilets.
