Typical Day at the Hostel
Life at Sharada Kuteera begins early. The kitchen opens by 4:00 AM, and milk is served from 6:30 AM in the dining hall. Students and working women can leave by 5:30 AM. The hostel gates close at 8:00 PM for students and 10:00 PM for working women. Note: Night-shift inmates are not permitted.
Morning prayers are conducted at 7:30 AM or 9:00 AM by staff, with inmates offering worship before leaving for college or work. Evening prayers take place in the Prayer Hall, attended by both staff and inmates. Dinner is served after evening prayer, and the kitchen closes by 10:00 PM.
Kitchen & Menu
The kitchen is located in the Annapurna Block. It begins operations at 4:00 AM and closes at 10:00 PM.
Milk: 6:30 AM
Breakfast & Lunch: By 7:30 AM
Dinner: Ready by 7:30 PM, served after evening prayers at 7:00 PM

Lunch & Dinner: Pure vegetarian meals with Ragi Balls, Rice, Sambar, Tilisaaru, Buttermilk, Curd, and Pickle.

B: Idli w/ Chutney

Sharada Kuteera celebrates a rich calendar of cultural and spiritual events starting with Kalpataru Day on January 1st. Major celebrations include:
- Makara Sankranti
- Republic Day
- Hostel Day (Annual Day with invited Mathajis from Sri Sharada Mutt)
- Mahaveer Jayanti, Basava Jayanti, Varamahalakshmi
- Janmashtami, Gowri-Ganesha, Dasara/Navaratri
- Gandhi Jayanthi, Deepavali, Christmas
Weekly Programs:
- Monday & Thursday – 5 PM: Pravachans & Bhajans
- Wednesday – 5 PM: Pravachans only
Terms & Conditions
Admission Rules (Students Only):
Admission is granted only for the duration of the course (e.g., 2 years for PUC).
Extensions must be requested in writing and are subject to management approval on a case-by-case basis.
Management’s decision on extensions is final and binding.

Guests are welcome with prior notice and applicable charges. Provided amenities include:
